On the northwest side of town the Silver Comet Trail cannot be beat for running, cycling, and walking. The paved rails-to-trails path extends all the way from Smyrna to the Alabama state line and beyond for a total of 95 miles! There is a parking lot at the Mavell Road trailhead where we start our run. Turn around at the intersection of S. Hurt Rd. for a 10K run or keep running as long as you like.
