Starting with a slight detour up Jenkin to get the legs warmed up, we set our sights north and snake out way through Scholes and on the Wentworth. Next the road goes up as we tackle The REAL Stainborough climb !!!!! and Sim Hill in quick succession. Descending through Silkstone Common and Dodworth we stop to refuel at Millers Tea Room in Warsbrough Mill Park. The climbing continues as we skirt our way around Wombwell and Wath riding back into HQ from the north, which includes the two final climbs of Ravenfield and Brecks to cap off a good day’s ascending.
This Ride has a number of long climbs but I promise once you do Jenkin the rest of the ride will feel flat. These are climbs anyone can do, they aren’t too steep and they aren’t too long and will be a good taster for anyone looking to get in shape for any hilly ride.
