The route has several nice hills and no problems with low water crossings unless there has been substantial rains. The roads are generally smooth. Waves to the ranchers and be courteous as the roads are sometimes narrow. Leaving Lampasas on St highway 183, turn right onto Lampasas Cty rd 4006; continue into Burnet Cty which becomes Burnet Cty Rd. 207 [Old Austin Rd] for 16.3 miles to 963 at which time you turn around, and go to your first left onto Cty Rd 203, then right onto 202, then left on 204 to the end, turning right onto St Rd 2340. Go 0.5 mi, and turn right on 206 to the end [7 cattle guards but really no problem]; turn left onto 207 and return back to Lampasas.
