This loop takes you South East of Mankato into St Clair. From here it takes you east of St Clair where you will take a left onto cty rd. 37 that will take you straight north into the small township of Smiths Mill. Be careful as you cross the 4 lane highway 14. Keep heading north for a short bit and you will then head straight west till you come to hwy 48. Use caution on this road as it has no shoulder for some of it. This road typically has very little traffic on it. The next major road that you will be on is Hwy 60 that willl take you directly into Madison Lake. Hwy 60 is usually busy but it does have a decent should to ride on. The rest of the loop has nice shoulders and minimal traffic.
