Here is short loop for any early morning before you stay on the beach with family.
Can be done from Benalmadena, but even the other from Fuengirola going down to Benalmadena. To tell the truth the climb from Benalmadena is nicer and with less traffic.
From waterfront take road Fr. Garcia Lorca along the Parque de Palomas until you meet A-368. Then turn left and keep on this road through Benalamadena and Arroyo de la Miel, ride under the highway climbing direction Mijas. Nice surface between pines and 1 km before Mijas turn right over unnamed road to reach broadcast station. Hard 5 km between pines with amazing views all the time. There is no section under 10%, so take a power with.
After spending time and taking pics take same road down to crossroad and now turn right to proper Mijas village. At the beginning turn left on the roundabout and enjoy descent to Fuengirola over A-387.
When being in Fuengirola you can combine coastal road with promanede to come back to Benalmadena.
