A route that will capture your heart with its unparalleled beauty of the natural landscape. Starting from Skiathea Villas, you descend a 500m. dirt road and turn right on the main asphalt road with direction to Koukounaries area. After 4,5 km and viewing on your left side the Strofilia lake, you turn right following the sign towards Agia Eleni beach. After 350m. of asphalt road you can either continue downhill for a first stop at Ag. Eleni beach or take the uphill dirt road on your right hand following the signs towards Mandraki area.
From that point you are entering a landscape of unique natural beauty, passing through the Aesthetic forest of Skiathos island, the only Greek island whose forests have been characterized as Aesthetics, with a total area of 3,000 hectares, and classified as a protected area Natura 2000. On your left side after about 1km you can have a magnificent view of Krifi Ammos beach and south Pilion mountain in the background. After 1,6 km you can either turn left towards Xerxis beach or continue forward and after 120m turn again on your left hand with direction to Elias beach, a must-see wild landscape! On your way back from Elias Bay, once you reach the juction, you turn left to continue after a while to an elevated road, where you can admire Elias Bay and Agkistros beach view from above. For 2 more km you proceed elevating through lush green scenery and then keeping a right direction at every upcoming junction, you start descending. In about 1,5 km you come across the main asphalt road and turn again right. After 1,7 km you reach Troulos junction (bus stop 18), so you turn left on the Koukounaries-Skiathos main road, turn left after 400m (Skiathea Villas sign!), ascend our hill and arrive at the finish line at Skiathea Villas! What an experience! You deserve a refreshing dive in our pool!
