My Big Ride: Taralga, Tablelands, New South Wales

Cycling Route

Details
93.35 km
700 m
Start this ride from Taralga, Laggan or Crookwell as you deem most appropriate. We kicked off from the Tangled Vine cafe in Taralga and made our way around the loop (actually more like 1,200m of climbing) in an anticlockwise direction. Rolling fro Taralga, the first smooth gravel section comes after a few kilometres with additional sectors littered along the way.

Take a pitstop in Crookwell before taking on the final half which, if the prevailing westerly wind is up, should mean a gentle push to guide you home. Expect a bit more gravel in the back half but again, it's all smooth going – with the right tyre size.

You could do it on a road bike but we'd recommend at least 30mm or wider for the most enjoyable experience.
