Start the day at Pedaler's Fork in Calabasas with some 10 Speed Coffee and a house made pastry. This is a true cyclist destination with a tasteful cycling themed restaurant and a bike shop for any ride necessities or bike tunes. Then set out for a cruise through the Santa Monica Mountains. Just before making the climb up Mulholland to Kanan be sure to stop at The Rock Store for a bottle refill. This is a historic gas station and now restaurant/store which was once frequented by James Dean. Then you'll make the ascent up the Rock Store climb which has been used in several Amgen Tours, pace yourself it's a good one. From there you'll cruise out the remainder of Mulholland until hitting the coast and briefly head south on PCH before turning left for a grueling climb up Decker Canyon, be sure to take a moment to enjoy the views that on a clear day allow you to catch glimpses of the downtown LA skyline. Once you join back onto Mulholland you'll make your way towards Piuma and be rewarded with amazing views of the entire Valley, Malibu, and at the top you'll be staring at the Santa Monica Bay and as far south as Palos Verdes. Enjoy! After Piuma you're on the homestretch to make a quick ascent of Schueren before bombing down Stunt and rolling back into Calabasas via Mulholland. After crushing nearly 90 miles and over 11k in elevation gain. Pedaler's Fork will again serve your post ride needs of a cold craft brew and some killer grub. Enjoy the ride.
