It's February! Spring is not far away, time to get some mileage (and cheese) in the legs!
Meet around 9:30am for a 10am roll out! Mechanics and bike advice from the guys from our local bike shop (and jersey sponsor) Borwell Cycles.
February's edition of the 'Brewery Tap Cycle Club' rides, is alot more lumpy than last months flat loop.
We'll go out on Aylsham Road to Hellesdon, using the back road to Drayton.
From Drayton, we'll snake around costessey, make sure you point out the potholes and manhole covers! There are many on this road!
Soon enough we'll be on the lumpy country roads to Weston Longville. We'll, Then, turn left and coast along a very smooth surfaced road. (Honingham Rd)
Be carefull crossing the busy Dereham A Road.
Straight after crossing there will be the first CLIMBERS PINT CHALLENGE! a long draggy ramp that isn't that steep but is quite long, it should break up the group quite a bit!
We'll wait at the top for everyone, then coast along through Barnham Broom way. Very up and down. If you find yourself struggling, look around and take in the scenery! Hilly farmland and big skies!
There will be a fast downhill run-in to the second CLIMBERS PINT CHALLENGE! A short sharp mound, just before wymondham. Once again, we'll wait at the top for everyone and then coast into wymondahm together.
Coffee and cake at a lovely little Portuguese Cafe (Thanks again David)
On the home leg, we'll have a cheeky tail wind, gently pushing us along through Little Melton, and back in past the UEA and then over to Dereham Rd. UEA climb will not feature in the CPC this month due to busy roads and traffic. You're more than welcome to have a go at it for personal/strava goals.
Upon return, we'll have our famous Cheeseboard, beers and warmth. Any bike questions can be answered by the guys from Borwells Cycles who will still be on hand to help!
JERSEYS! I will be taking names and contact numbers for anyone who would like to purchase a Brewery Tap Cycle Club jersey! They must be ordered in batches of 10 minimum.
