Start at Devonshire Walk carpark and run towards Bitts Park along the path (not the road). From Bitts Park carpark, run on the path at the side of the road on Castle Way towards the Hardwicke Circus. Before you get to the roundabout go under the underpass using the ramp and come up the opposite ramp on the Sands Centre side. Run up Stanwix Bank onto Brampton Road. Where the road goes down into Rickerby Park that's the turning back point and you do the exact same route on the way back.
