Prototype Phoenix: Mark II

Cycling Route

Details
27.91 km
152 m
A steep tarmac descent into a historic market town. Then, weaving through petit countryside lanes, on to a well-established cycle route that connects two of the main towns in the local district area, both socially and physically. The ride then proceeds on dusty straight paths through typical English countryside, with the odd rabbit and herd of cows in an adjacent field. The views are somewhat mediocre but beautiful on a warm summer's day. After crossing a railway line, the path becomes more rough and most unsuitable for a road bike, but just perfect to test the capability of the cyclocross. The path then weaves under a canopy of elegant low-lying trees and then, finally, into the picturesque town of Princes Risborough. After a break and a refreshing drink, one can turn around and return on the same path back towards the market town of Thame. However, the path then this time carries on a little farther then the opposite way. This path then leads on gravel and takes a sharp right towards the road that is perpendicular to Oxford Road. Then, cycling past the school, return via Oxford Road to Priest End.
