All routes leave Boldmere via Walmley, Minworth and Water Orton to Coleshill via the usual route.

From the top of Coleshill the routes head out to Maxstoke and the climb up Green End Road. At the top of the climb we turn off onto Harding Wood Lane.
The long route continues past Fillongley Park and then does a short loop via the Tamworth Road before heading towards Shustoke via the lanes including a further short detour at Shawbury.

The Medium and Short routes head back down the hill towards Shustoke via Fillongley Road.

At Shustoke the Long and Medium routes head east via Church End and Furnace End before making the second main climb of the ride along Atherstone Road. At the top of the hill we turn off heading along the lanes to the west towards Nether Whitacre.

From Nether Whitacre the Long and Medium routes take slightly different detours via Hoggrills End and then on to Whitacre Heath.

The Short route from Shustoke heads north more directly to Whitacre Heath but still manages to include an alternative detour of Hoggrills End.

From Whitacre Heath all three routes head back towards Sutton via Lea Marston, Hams Hall and Curdworth where the Long route makes a further detour via Wishaw, Grove End and back to Over Green (The Cock).

The Long and the Medium routes roll back to Sutton from The Cock on a new route via Falcon Lodge and Rectory Road. The last section provides the final climbs of the day via Rowan Road and then the short but killer Conchar Road before the final short run back to Boldmere.

The short route takes the more usual return via Fox Hollies Road and Walmley but also includes the Conchar Road climb on the way back to Boldmere.

Bullets Lead by example when on the road -
Always obey the Highway Code and ride in a manner appropriate. Be courteous and consider other road users, pedestrians and others engaged in a leisure activity such as horse riders. The route may follow country lanes where you will encounter rural traffic users such as tractors, etc. Where necessary ride in single file and according to the road conditions. We also strongly recommend the following:
• RED means STOP. Do not take chances
• Helmets must be worn whilst riding
• Take heed of road traffic warning signs, they apply to cyclists too
• Extend all reasonable courtesy to other road users
• Ride single file on single roads climbs and A Roads to allow traffic to flow
• Anticipate oncoming traffic and ride accordingly
• Be aware of potholes and loose gravel on roads
• Keep a safe distance between you and any riders in front, especially on descents
• Be patient when crossing junctions
• When turning right, always make your intentions clear to road users
• Be prepared for adverse weather and wear/carry adequate clothing
• In hot, sunny conditions drink plenty of water and apply sun protection
• Do not drop litter – use the bins provided or take it home with you. Put it your pocket, under the hem of your shorts or jersey sleeve. Ultimately, don’t litter and give cycling a bad name.
• Do not behave in a manner that may offend others.
