Start at Miskin Arms, proceed along Heol Miskin and turn right at the roundabout towards Leekes. Continue on footpath alongside the river and follow the road up towards Smilog woods (Llantrisant forestry). Turn into the public car park follow route / loop around the top of the forest before returning to the car park and continuing on the road towards the Ynysmaerdy gate. Head south via the footpath, exit left at Ynysmaerdy and continue past the hospital (where there is a shop for drinks etc if needed). Continue south towards Talbot Green shops next to A4119 / Ely Valley road, then towards Cross Inn under A4119 tunnel. Continue south again past cemetery, cross back over A4119, then head back to the Miskin Arms. The Route is 60% road and 40% trail, if preferred, it be shortened by approx. 3 miles by starting/finishing at Leekes.
