Rota de Corrida
Detalhes

To find a bit of elevation, make your way to the foothills just outside Denver. The Red Rocks Trail from Matthews/Winters Park is a running favorite due to its easy accessibility from I-70 and the breathtaking scenery. This route starts from the parking lot at Matthews/Winters, which fills up quickly so get an early start. First you will cross back over highway 93 to make a tough ascent up the hogback ridge that sits opposite the road from the Red Rocks Trail. We like to get the steep hogback out of the way first but this loop can be run in either direction. The rocky, single track Dakota Ridge Trail at the top offers panoramic views and treacherous footing. You will have a few more road crossings to reach the Red Rocks Trail so use care. If you’ve never been to Red Rocks Park you may want to take some time to explore the massive rock formations and red lunar landscape. Otherwise stick to the Red Rocks Trail as it undulates through this unique environment. The trails here are very exposed so bring water and sunscreen.
