Made it to the finishers party of Transcontinental no11 alongside my best pal Chris Hunt and yes we’re still pals 😂. 

The far north-west to the furthest east of Europe, Atlantic to Black Sea, from Santiago de Compostela, Spain 🇪🇸 to Constanța Romania 🇷🇴 is quite a long way and this one’s going to take a while to process, but it feels quite big in the ol noggin and not got lots of insightful words about it at this moment, so here are a few facts for the time being.

A near 5000km journey, riding around 265km daily. Headwinds, tailwinds, traffic, boarder crossings, ferries, police, languages, mountains, dogs, “gravel”, actual gravel galore.

Body is recovering, but not as broken as on previous races, we looked after our bodies well which is something you can’t compromise on this length of race.

No consequential mishaps, zero punctures or mechanicals between the two of us which I find hard to fathom. Only time I opened my toolkit was at the finishers party when a lighter was required 😂. 

After a quick turnaround and leaving Constanța in a rush for groomsman duties in Norfolk. I’m now back in the motherland and I’m looking forward living a TCR free lifestyle. A weight off my shoulders. Need to put back on some weight soon.
