Chuckwagon mid-day on a Tuesday? Fine. During a holiday week? Not fine! I got out of there right quick and headed West, Where No One Goes. Finish "The Siege: A Six-Day Hostage Crisis and the Daring Special-Forces Operation That Shocked the World" by Ben Macintyre. If you read the title and thought “This isn’t going to be funny at all,” you’d be both justified and wrong. Even in extremis, life is a funny thing. With so many real-life characters in the mix, I was consistently surprised with how naturally foreshadowed each twist and punchline was. It’s an impressive feat to craft non-fiction into such a well architected story.
