It’s nice on the other side of the scar

I’m not saying I wasn’t beaten by any old men. But any old men that beat me made it to the top before me too. Not that I managed to get a good look at the blurs flailing past. Update: I was wrong, overtaken by an M50 in the final seconds.

In these shorter races strength is my limiter, especially on the downhill and flat. I started supplementing potassium a month or two ago, which has helped massively. I can now train and race without muscles tightening up. But now that I’m fitter I’ve hit a new plateau.
