Day 227: Another nasty day down the Thai coast

Woke up in our quiet beach and cleared our before we toasted in our tents. Then onto the awesome roads of 12 km till we found some tasty breakfast. By 9:30am it was already scorching. Danny’s tent poles broke so he was a man on a mission to find something to repair them, so he raced of with us following on a little later. We caught him up soon enough after cruising along more stunning coast roads adjacent to the beach. 

7-11 lunch and we soaked up the air conditioning - temps up to 35+ degrees outside. After lunch it started to get hill which was unexpected and unwanted. They were pretty small and literally nothing compared to Nepal or turkey or even the north of Thailand, but it’s funny how when you’re not expecting it, it feels much worse.

An ice coffee on the side of the road (something Thailand does exceptionally well) and then a last 30km push to camp on another stunning beach. We are pitched up just in some trees with a white sandy beach in front. 

Cooked up a very healthy dinner of fresh veg and rice and tuna - obviously Dani being Spanish, he has a whole glass bottle of olive oil with him, so we used that liberally. Still windy but sat on the beach with a fire on the go and a beer.
