Easy start and redid laces on Welsh St. Then massive effort on the loop. Went really hard to start and thought I had overdone it. Seeing as I improved my record on the first section of WVW, I was definitely running well. Tough slog up the 365 steps, and just about got going again. Running stronly down into Tintern. Saw Time and Lynne on the English side and ran well up the climb to DP. Was going well all the way round actually, and saw all the Stotts on windmill hill to finish. 1.18.31 for the loop, I was perhaps hoping for a bit quicker given the effort. Damp and slippery underfoot - quite a few times I lost traction, hot and humid. Not particularly problematic. Biggest issue was other people. Busiest I've ever seen it on WVW today, and lots on OD as well. Most were good but some people just ignorant and a few annoying dogs. Had to hop over a lead at one point and the people just laughed. Lots of slowing down to get past, so some more time in the bank. Perhaps on a perfect cold dry day with no people to get in the way I could run a 1.15 for the segment. Came within seconds of getting a load of other crowns (mainly Paul's) as well, so goes to show the effort I put in.
