Day 226: what dreams are made of

A day or two halves! Woke up feeling a little dehydrated - I think just taking some time to get back into things. I then realised I had another puncture from our camp spot and Josh had one too! So we hauled ourselves off to a cafe and drank coffee whilst fixing our various issues and I even managed to get an Australian visa sent off and approved! Dani then arrived! He cycled with Josh in turkey and is from Spain! Crazy guy - he left Bangkok a day after us so he got up at 5am this morning to catch up and had cycled 60km before we had breakfast! He brings a lot of energy and fun and chaos too! 

We set off down the coast trying to keep off the big road and on the little coast paths. We really struck gold about 40km in where we ended up in a really secluded area. A mangrove national park, saw a water monitor which was very cool! Then got to the beach and there was a bike path through the pine forest with the beach right next to it. Paradise!! We went and kicked coconuts around on the beach and then came back to find I had yet another puncture. The one benefit of this is that I can now fix them in about 5 mins. We pushed on over a terrifyingly rickety metal bridge with huge holes in and into a town where we grabbed a late lunch of local prawn cakes and fish curry noodles. 

Then the rest of the day was spent cruising a long a beautiful quiet coastal road with palm trees and sand and everything you could want! We stopped to camp in a place called the secret beach and we are right on the beach. When we arrived there was a family here in their campervan who were loverly. Hilarious litttle one about phoebes age who chased Josh around with my broken inner tube whacking him with it 🤣 we swam in the sea which was much better than yesterday before setting up camp and watching the supermoon rise whilst we had a drink and cooked some quite disappointing noodles. We lit a little campfire on the beach and settled down to relax, write diaries etc… pretty dang epic!
