This morning, my support worker Ben and I explored the foreshore around Swan Reach Bay and Slaughterhouse Creek in Johnsonville. It was a lovely partly cloudy day with a top of 20 degrees. 

I've actually walked this section of Swan Reach Bay before but never ventured across the channel of water next to Slaughterhouse Creek until today. It was really interesting exploring this area with a mixture of swampland, grassland, hills and coastal environments. 

Walking this part barefoot wasn't as hard as I thought, though the rocks, pebbles and shells were quite rough. Eventually, we stumbled across a large group of sheep in an open paddock which neither of us were expecting. They weren't even fenced in which was unusual. 

Overall, this was a very enjoyable walk and I'm glad I decided to explore further than my previous visit here.
