Look at the profile…minus the downhill from the hotel to the start, we did 15,500ft of climbing in 53 miles. It was in one climb for the most part. 

The actual death road was so spooky, Jim got a drone shot of us riding by a bus that had fallen off the cliff, killing 8 😬

Crosses all over the road, in a 3 month span, 200 people died on the road. It used to be the only way to transport goods from the Amazon to La Paz, hense the traffic and the deaths. 

But now they built a new highway around it so the death road is just a tourist attraction now.
